Offer payments via Pix at Shopify stores with the new app

We have launched the new Mercado Pago Pix app on Shopify stores, aiming to enhance the checkout experience with the popular payment method. Once the purchase is completed, the clients will be redirected to a new screen with a QR code to make the payment.

Providing this payment method, customers can make payments anytime and anywhere, using a QR code or Pix Copia e Cola. Additionally, these payments will be approved instantly, with the added benefit of lower transaction commission rates and a quicker money reception.

To offer Pix as a payment method at checkout, you will need to install this new app, complying with Shopify store updates. To find out how to do this, refer to the detailed step-by-step guide in our new documentation.

Please note that this is an exclusive app for Pix payments. Previously, it was possible to set up all payment methods through a single app, Checkout Transparente MP. Now, we recommend that you uninstall it and, instead, install the specific apps for each payment method you want to offer in the store:

• If you wish to offer payments via boleto bancário, you can do so with Checkout Pro.
• If you want to offer card payments, install the new Mercado Pago Cards app.
