New mandatory fields to send payments with boleto bancĂĄrio in Checkout Transparent
At Mercado Pago, we are committed to complying with the necessary regulations to ensure that each transaction is transparent and secure. Therefore, we have updated the mandatory fields required to send payments with boleto bancĂĄrio in Checkout Transparent, in accordance with the regulations of the Banco Central (BACEN).
What has changed?
Previously, sending data about the payer's address when creating a payment was not mandatory.
Now, you will need to add new fields to the payment form, which will allow you to capture these necessary data to send a payment complying with the new requirements. These are fields associated with each buyer are:
- Street name ('street_name')
- Street number ('street_number')
- Neighborhood (`neighborhood`)
- Zip code ('zip_code')
- State ('federal_unit')
- City ('city')
What changes does this new feature imply in my integration?
If you have already configured payments with boleto bancĂĄrio previously, you will need to update your integration to be able to obtain the payer's data and send it correctly. Don't worry! You have all the information to do so in our updated documentation, specifically in the sections Add payment form and Send a payment, and in our API Reference.
If, on the other hand, you have not configured payments with boleto yet and wish to do so, you just need to integrate following our detailed step-by-step guide to set up Other payment methods in Checkout Transparent.
Important: The deadline for this update is 30/09/2024.
