New app Mercado Pago Cards in Shopify

Mercado Pago has launched its new application for those integrating into Shopify stores.

This is the Mercado Pago Cards app, an advantageous option for those who want to increase their chances of sales and reduce shopping cart abandonment at the same time, thanks to customers staying in the store to complete their data and make a payment.

Furthermore, this new application offers a transparent and secure payment experience with cards, as it has the Mercado Pago security system.

Want to know what's even better? It is perfectly compatible with Checkout Mercado Pago, which allows you to offer all payment methods for the customer to make their purchase within our environment.

To start receiving payments through Mercado Pago Cards, you will only need to make a few changes to your current configuration: just install the new application on the Shopify store and, then, uninstall the old one. You can do it through the Marketplace, or through the online store panel itself, and use our documentation to follow the step-by-step process in each case.

This new app is only for card payments. Soon, we will communicate the launch exclusively for Pix and indicate the necessary documentation for migration or installation. For now, use Mercado Pago Checkout Pro for payments with Pix and boleto bancário.

We also recommend complementing this new app with the Mercado Pago Antifraud Plus app, another new release that will allow you to reinforce the site's security and increase payment approval rates.
